This week in recent fishing history

Catches from boats and shore in Port Washington.  Boats have the most success in Sheboygan.
Port Washington
:
Boats:  Brown trout and Lake trout in 30 feet of water with stickbaits on planar boards, in the early morning. 
Power plant:  Brown trout and Rainbow trout on spawn sacks and minnows.  Conditions:  ranging from light brown in color with low clarity to aquamarine in color with good clarity.
Harbor: Brown trout and Rainbow trout on spoons in the morning.  Conditions:  Air temperature in the high 40’s, cloudy or raining, moderate to strong wind to the east and south/southeast.
Sauk Creek:  Rainbow trout on flies and spawn sacks.  Conditions:  light brown in color with low to moderate clarity, moderate current and medium water level.

Note:  Undersized Brown trout and suckers were caught throughout the area.

Sheboygan:
Boats:  Brown trout and Lake trout in water less than 35 feet deep with stickbaits and spoons on planar boards.  Conditions:  Air temperatures in the mid to high 40’s, mostly cloudy with a light wind to the south.
Sheboygan River:  Smallmouth bass and suckers caught near the Kohler dam by anglers targeting Rainbow trout.  Conditions: water temperature 52-54° F, light brown in color with low to moderate clarity, moderate current and medium to high water levels.  Chubs caught at Esslingen Park on wax worms in the early afternoon.  Conditions:  54-56° F, brown in color with moderate clarity, moderate current and medium water level.  A large gizzard shad was caught on a small spoon at the mouth of the river by an angler targeting trout.
