In Port Washington , usually moderate effort from the ramp and light effort from shore. There usually has been decent action from the boats and some action from shore. In Sheboygan , usually moderate effort from the ramp and piers and little effort elsewhere. The action is usually slow for boats but there has been some action for shore anglers.
Ramp: Moderate fishing effort and usually decent action (3-4 fish per boat) during this week. Chinook, Coho, rainbows, lake trout and a lake whitefish were caught in 50 to 180 feet of water with flasher flies, spoons and j-plugs on planar boards, dipsy divers and downriggers. Fish were generally scattered throughout the water column. Noted colors were green and orange. A brown trout was also caught in the harbor on spoon. Conditions: air temperatures in the high 50’s to low70’s, skies were overcast and there were light winds to the east or southeast.
Pier: Fishing effort usually very light with no action.
Power plant: Fishing effort light and there has been some action. Brown trout and rainbow trout have been caught on spawn. Conditions: water was blue green with moderate clarity, air temperatures in the mid 60’s, skies were clear and there were light winds.
Harbor: Very little effort and no action.
Cedar Grove:
Ramp: Moderate fishing effort and the action has usually been slow with an occasional decent day (3-4 fish per boat). Chinook, Coho, rainbows and lake trout were caught from 40 to 60 feet down in 70 to 150 feet of water with flasher flies and spoons on planar boards, dipsy divers and downriggers. Conditions: air temperatures in the 60’s, skies were clear and there have been light winds.
Pier: Moderate fishing effort and there is usually some action. Chinook have been caught off the lakeside of the north pier on alewives; conditions: water temperatures in the mid 50’s, water color light brown with little or no clarity, air temperature in the 60’s, skies were clear and there was a light wind to then north. Small trout have been caught off the lake side of both piers on spinners; conditions: water temperatures in the low 60’s, the water was blue green with moderate to good clarity, air temperature in the 60’s to low 70’s, skies were cloudy and there has been a variety of wind conditions.
Shore: Usually very little effort but small trout have been caught from the piers just north of Edgewater power plant on worms.
Edgewater power plant: Usually very little effort but small brown trout have been caught on worms and carp have been caught on spoons or bow and arrow.
