Fisheries Events

Regulations
May 19- Set or bank pole and setlines can be used on specified waters in the Wolf and Fox River basins through Sept. 30. Check the current Setline, Set or Bank Pole Regulations for open waters.

May 20- Yellow perch season opens on Green Bay, the Fox River and other Green Bay tributaries through March 15 with a bag limit of 15.

Meetings
May 14- Presentation by Mark Kmpotich on fishing for bass and panfish at the Wisconsin Fishing Club meeting at Graingers Southern Grill in Greenfield at 7 p.m. ($5 for nonmembers)

May 15- Presentation by Jason Gaurkee on "Conditions and Tactics for Fishing Green Bay Tributaries Now" at Okauchee Fishing Club meeting at the Knights of Columbus Hall in West Allis at 7 p.m. ($5 fee for nonmembers).  www.ofcfish.com

May 18- Deadline to request to participate at Wisconsin Natural Resources Board meeting

May 19- Learn to Fly Fish at Mauthe Lake. To register, call the Ice Age Visitor Center (920)533-8322 by May 17. Free with 2012 Wisconsin State Park admission.

May 19- Trout habitat work day with Trout Unlimited on the first south branch of the Oconto River and/or Mary's Creek.  hwww.greenbaytu.com/

May 20- "Fly Fishing For Beginners" at the Riveredge Nature Center facility in Newburg from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. All equipment will be supplied ($25 for members and $30 for nonmembers). Pre-registration is required.  http://www.riveredge.us/

May 20- Little Lunkers! Learn the Basics at Jenni and Kyle Preserve in Fitchburg from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pre- registration is required.  Little Lunkers Flyer,[PDF,2M].
