Ramp: Over the past few years during early May there was usually light or no effort and a little action. Brown trout have been caught in the harbor on rapalas and spoons. Chinook salmon have been caught 60-100 feet down in 100 feet water with spoons on downriggers and a Coho salmon was caught 25 feet down in 100 feet of water with a spoon on a planar board. Conditions: air temperature was in the mid 50’s, skies were cloudy and there was a light to moderate wind to the southwest.
Piers: Over the past few years during early May there was usually light or no effort but occasional moderate effort and a little action. Brown trout have been caught off the harbor side of the south pier on rapalas and spoons. A brown trout was caught off the lakeside of the pier on a spoon at approximately 8 o’ clock in the morning. A lake whitefish was caught off the lakeside of the pier on an alewife at sunset. Conditions: water temperature was 50-56° F, water color was greenish brown to blue green with moderate to good clarity or muddy with low clarity and the lake was flat, the air temperature was in the 50’s, skies were cloudy and there was a mod wind to the southwest.
Shore: Over the past few years during early May there was usually no effort.
Edgewater power plant: Over the past few years during early May there was usually very little or no effort and a little action. Carp caught by an angler bow fishing at the outflows behind the plant in the mid afternoon. Conditions: air temperature was in the low 40’s, skies were cloudy with a light to moderate wind to the south/southwest.
Weeden’s Creek: Over the past few years during early May there was usually no effort.
Ramp: Over the past few years during early May there was usually light effort from the ramp with a decent amount of action, most boats reporting 2-3 fish landed. Chinook salmon, Coho salmon, rainbow trout and a lake trout have been caught, 20-100 feet down in 80-240 feet of water with spoons and flashers and flies on planar boards, dipsy divers and down riggers. Also, brown trout and a lake trout were caught 15 feet down in 30 feet on spoons. Conditions: air temperature from mid 50’s to low 60’s, overcast to mostly sunny and little or no wind to light to moderate winds to the southwest.
Pier: Over the past few years during early May there was usually little or no effort with no action.
Power plant: Over the past few years during early May there was usually light effort in the area with very little action. Rainbow trout have been caught on spawn. Also, undersized rainbow trout have been caught on Gulp minnows. Conditions: water color was light brown or blue green with low to moderate clarity.
Sauk Creek: Over the past few years during early May there was usually no effort.
